Introduction to Magpiie

Magpiie is a video review and revision platform built to help creators and production teams manage feedback in a structured way.

In many video workflows, feedback gets scattered across different tools. Teams often receive comments through email, messaging apps, and cloud storage links. This creates confusion, missed feedback, and unnecessary revision cycles.

Magpiie centralizes this entire process. Each video draft, comment, and revision stays organized inside a single workspace.

With Magpiie, you can:

  • • Upload video drafts for review
  • • Leave frame-accurate timestamp comments
  • • Track revisions across multiple drafts
  • • Collaborate with editors and clients
  • • Move smoothly from draft to approval

The goal is simple. Remove workflow confusion so teams can focus on creating better content.

Understanding the Review Workflow

The typical workflow inside Magpiie follows a simple and structured process.

Step 1: Upload a video draft.

Step 2: Invite reviewers or share a review link.

Step 3: Collect timestamp feedback.

Step 4: Editors make revisions and upload a new version.

Step 5: Reviewers confirm changes and move the video toward approval.

This structured process ensures every change request is clear and every revision is properly tracked.

Creating Your First Project

Projects help organize your videos based on client, campaign, or content type.

For example, you might create projects for:

  • • YouTube videos
  • • Social media content
  • • Client advertising campaigns
  • • Podcast episodes
  • • Online courses

Once a project is created, all drafts, comments, and revisions related to that project remain organized in one place.

Uploading Your First Video

To upload your first draft:

  • • Open your project workspace
  • • Click the upload button
  • • Select your video file or drag it into the upload area

Magpiie will process the video and prepare it for review.

The uploaded video becomes Draft 1.

Managing Draft Versions

Every time you upload a new version, Magpiie automatically creates a new draft.

Each draft contains:

  • • Draft number
  • • Upload timestamp
  • • Comment history
  • • Revision notes

This helps your team track the evolution of the video and identify the latest version.

Replacing a Draft With a New Revision

When editors complete requested changes, they can upload a new revision.

The new file becomes the latest draft while earlier versions remain available for reference, keeping the revision history organized.

Select a topic from Drafts & Versions.

Leaving Timestamp Comments

Magpiie allows reviewers to leave comments directly on specific moments in a video.

To leave feedback:

  • • Play the video
  • • Pause at the moment you want to comment on
  • • Click the comment option
  • • Write your feedback

The comment automatically attaches to that timestamp.

Editors can click the comment and jump directly to the exact moment in the video.

Replying to Feedback

Comments can include threaded replies so conversations remain organized. Team members can respond to feedback, clarify requests, and confirm when changes are completed.

Assigning Comments to Editors

Feedback can be assigned to specific editors so responsibilities remain clear. This prevents confusion about who needs to address each request.

Resolving Feedback

Once a requested change has been completed, the comment can be marked as resolved. Resolved comments remain visible for historical reference but no longer appear as active tasks.

Uploading a New Revision

After editors make changes, they can upload a new version of the video.

Magpiie automatically adds the file as a new draft and preserves all previous comment history.

Tracking Revision Rounds

Each revision round is recorded so teams can see how many cycles were required to finalize the video. This helps teams identify workflow improvements over time.

Reviewing Resolved Comments

Before moving toward approval, reviewers can check resolved comments to ensure requested changes were implemented correctly.

Inviting Team Members

You can invite editors, producers, or clients by entering their email address.

Once invited, they can:

  • • Watch video drafts
  • • Leave timestamp feedback
  • • Reply to comments
  • • Track revisions

Each comment is tagged with the reviewer’s name to maintain clarity.

Managing Collaborator Access

You can control who has access to a project and what actions they can perform. This helps keep sensitive projects secure while allowing clients to participate in reviews.

Working with Editors and Reviewers

Magpiie allows you to collaborate seamlessly with both editors and reviewers. Editors can upload new versions and respond to feedback, while reviewers can provide timestamp comments and approve drafts. Clear role separation ensures everyone knows their responsibilities in the workflow.

Preparing a Draft for Review

Before sharing a draft with stakeholders, editors should ensure:

  • • Major edits are completed
  • • Comments from previous rounds are resolved
  • • The latest version is uploaded

This helps reviewers provide focused feedback.

Reviewing the Latest Version

Reviewers should always confirm they are viewing the latest draft before leaving feedback. Magpiie highlights the most recent version to avoid confusion.

Final Approval Workflow

Once all feedback has been addressed and the video is ready, reviewers can move the project toward final approval. This indicates that the video is ready for publishing or delivery.

Video Upload Issues

If a video takes longer than expected to upload, check your internet connection and file size. Large files may take additional time to process.

Missing Comments or Feedback

If comments appear missing, ensure you are viewing the correct draft version. Feedback remains attached to the draft where it was created.

Access and Permission Problems

If a collaborator cannot access a project, verify that they have been properly invited and that the correct email address was used.
